Heads Up On Uplift Radio
Sometimes we get asked if we’re a religious station. The answer is ‘No’, but we like to play all kinds of music and we want to leave a positive feel with our listeners when they go. You’ll notice that instead of adverts, we prefer to put a positive thought at the beginning of each hour – some are more spiritual than others, but all are designed to encourage. We also try to play all kinds of music, including gospel, as regularly as possible.
Sometimes in our automated hours we even intersperse the music with positive quotes from well known people.
It’s Sunday, so what can you expect from us today. The same great music and scintellating chat of course, but also we try to cater for those who wish a dose of religion, by broadcasting 2 slots from Uplift Christian Fellowship, between 7 & 9am and again between 8 & 10pm each week.
- Lift Up Your Hearts, beautiful hymns and texts intertwined, to lift your spirit (like Sunday Half Hour) — 8am, 11am & 8pm
-
UCF Today, our half hour service for those who can’t get to church or who just want something a bit different. It’s informal and comes from unusual locations each week — 8.30am, 11.30am & 8.30pm
-
The Go On Show, full of encouragement and topical discussion with two presenters. Today, there’s discussion of the Pope’s recent visit to Ireland, an interview with Simon Lloyd who introduces us to his encouraging lifestyle, and plenty of good music – 7am & 9pm.
(All these programmes can be heard twice during the week too. Check out our schedule.)
For those who are new to Uplift Radio why not check out a new positive experience? And for those ‘seasoned’ listeners, why not add your ears to the newcomers so we can be a RadioActive community!
Tune in on www.upliftfm.com where you’ll find our player, and a variety of other popular media player links. You can also hear us all the time on our Apple, Android & Microsoft Uplift Radio Apps.
Happy listening!
